We are having a bad day today... We had to put our wonderful fur baby, Cheyenne to sleep tonight.:cry: She was believed to have just an intestinal blockage, but upon further testing she was found to be infected with Parvo. All of our babies were given all their shots from the time they were little up to now, so I am not sure how she got this... PEOPLE!!...please vaccinate your animals!!!!!! Just had to throw my 2 cents in...
Sorry to hear about Cheyenne. It's easy to get attached to a pet. What kind of animal can get Parvo? Dog, Cat?
We had to put ours down last June 30. It was the hardest thing i've ever done. Very sorry for your loss.

Dogs get Parvo - either from contact with other dogs/puppies with Parvo, or by touching feces of dogs who have Parvo - which is why it is so important if you walk your dogs keep them away from gullies and other areas with other dogs poop. Pick up your dogs poop! Don't let your dog sniff other poop! Parvo can live in the soil for years - literally! Sadly, no vaccine is 100% effective and certain factors can leave a vaccinated dog at risk of picking up a certain diseases. Giardia can also be caught from feces of infected dogs - it can live in the soil for a month.

Good-bye hurts so much, But someday you will think of your animal friend with smiles instead of tears And it will feel as if this little soul left a rainbow in your heart.
Frame, I know that no words will make things feel better right now, but take comfort in that time will heal the pain even though it doesn't seem like it right now. I'm so very sorry.

Frame I am so, so sorry. I know exactly what you're going through. My precious baby died on Monday. My heart is still broken. So I guess we can cry together. Just knowing what you're going through has me in tears again. :cry:
