Just saw on WRAL.com where Mary Easley got her pink slip-wonder if she will sign up for unemployment.

Heck I will do that for my current salary and get you some really good speakers. And to be honest every time they showed her she had that damn stupid smug expression. If this woman was so highly well spoken she could of spoken for herself. And that 170k is a lot of money that can go to hold on to a lot of good employees. This is just my humble opinion
The problem is they fire her and she still gets paid. I think they should have tripled her duties, made her life miserable while she worked, and then she could have quit...no buyout clause on the contract if she quits!
In today's N&O: Buyout packages have become a big part of the controversy, but Mary Easley herself may not get one. No package is mentioned in her brief contract, though university officials said they have to do some research before saying for sure that she wouldn't get one.
NC State will honor her contract, meaning she will get paid, unless they find 'wrong doing' in the way she was hired. and they will (meaning if her husband had anything to do with it, and he did). The Easley's are dispicable and have not even a shred of integrity between the two of them.
