what's going on at the high school? There is bumper to bumper traffic from Sanders Road, with everyone going into the high school.
Graduation is at 6:00. The traffic was so bad in 2007 that we almost missed it. We left our house really early too. I hope the traffic moves smoother this year.
Wow, I was heading past that traffice at 4:30pm! Guess some were getting a jump on the ceremonies. Congrats to all the grads.
We were in at about that time. Seems they told all the band kids and graduates to arrive at 4pm, therefore the bumper-bumper traffic. Maybe if they'd staggered the arrival times it woulda been better. But they did do a better job than usual with directing traffic and parking but when you have that many cars going to one place, its bound to happen! Most of the parents (like me) rode w/ their student at that early time so we could get a seat. One thing I wished they'd done differently was to have the students sitting to the side of the stage instead of in front so the parents coulda been closer to the stage, but all in all, I think things went very well. Much more organized than in the past (IMHO). And they were selling cold bottles of water :hurray:
The first Full 4 year graduation was 2006. My DD was in it! First year Graduation was 2003. DS couldn't go to West because they kept the Seniors at South. So he Graduated in 2003 at South.
My son went to South for his Freshman yr, then to West. Back then it was so empty, they didn't even use all of the classrooms, lol!! Not sure if they had a graduatution that first yr or not? The only one I really remember was 2004 and then my son was class of 05, with about 200 students. DD graduated Fri night - 447 students.
