Are you nervous with the decisions Obama is making?

Why should it cost Obama a re-election? It happened before his watch. He's just trying to push those vehicles so we can at least break even....keep up big guy.

And therein lies the problem. Should the President of the United States be pushing any brand of vehicle? You just made a better arguement against Obama's policies than any conservative I've seen.

Funny you mentioned that. I caught hell from the majority of the conservatives on here for not voting. I didn't vote because neither of the party systems candidates were viable leaders in my view.

In this last election they were screaming some people shouldn't vote. I will give them this; they are the 'typical' half of the party system. They will flip flop their views to achieve the objective of winning at all cost.

And I continue with that stance today. I do what's good for America in my view. Not the Party System. The GOP went off the wall with power lunacy and played stupid games in governing the people. I stopped that with a vote in what's good for America. My vote didn't address all my views but it did stop the power lunacy.

It's a new age of technology. We have the means to vote and govern as individuals without corrupt representatives. Our population in 1776 was 2.5 million and it took 4 days, in good weather, to get to Philadelphia from here. Representatives were a necessity.

We are now 300 million strong and it takes 1 hour by plane and a nano second by internet. The founders could never envision that and would want us to change the way we are represented. The oportunity for true self governing is laying in front of us. By the people and for the people is our core.

Instead we're fighting party lines and concentrating on bringing democracy thru war to the world.

When a true Conservative understands that Obama did not start this bailout and thus the policies have had to be rewritten several times I'll worry about the POTUS pushing American products. Obama pushing any American made product is not a bad thing to me.

The plan pumps $13.4 billion by mid-January into the companies from the fund that Congress authorized to rescue the financial industry. But the two companies have until March 31 to produce a plan for long-term profitability, including concessions from unions, creditors, suppliers and dealers.

In February, another $4 billion will be available for G.M. if the rest of the $700 billion bailout package has been released.

What is your definition of a "true conservative"? Also, are you aware that GM has 2 production plants in Mexico, along with another that makes instrument panels? They also have plants in Japan and Enlgland, so President Obama is not pushing a strictly American product. Again, having a President hawking one product over another cheapens the office. In my opinion, we don't need a government run by Billy Mays and Vince The Sham-Wow Guy.

 

I am unable to in earnest answer your first question as I am about as confused as to what the definition is anymore than most people. Could you explain your definition of conservative to me?

Yes, I know the geographical portions where the car manufacturers have plants. What does that have to do with selling an American held product? I want my leader getting my money back, don't you?
