These are wild animals and should be treated as such. Prison is too good for whatever low life vermin did this.
This is really sad. I am so glad the wife and I got our gun permits and purchased a gun. Between the alarm and the gun, I sleep better at night.
Something everyone needs to be reminded of especially when getting older or knowing someone getting older. No humanity! Sherry
I was looking for someone's house just off Rock Service Station Rd Yesterday and got lost. I passed this scene 4 times within 20 minutes trying to locate the turn. I saw the news truck, tape across the yard, and the police cars when I passed each time. I was really saddened when I saw the news last night and learned what had happened. This really did happen W-A-Y too close to home. I hate to think there are people capable of doing something like this to an edlerly, disabled person who could be passing me ... or my children ... in the grocery store daily. I really hope they catch the folks responsible. On a side note ... I really thought about trying to get to where I was going by taking some other route because I really didn't want to pass the house again ... I was worried they might decide that I looked suspicious because I had passed by so often. Unfortuantely, I am severly directionally impaired & I knew I would just manage to get more lost if I tried taking some other route.
I have one ... and have to use it all the time. I'd probably get lost coming home from the grocery store without it The problem was that I didn't know what the correct city was. I tried entering Garner & Clayton ... but the address wasn't found when I entered either city. A couple of months ago my 1st GPS was stolen when I was at my in-laws home in Cary. They live in a really nice neighborhood and we were eating dinner on the back deck. It never even occurred to me to lock my door ... big mistake. In anycase, I was afraid to go anywhere because I just knew I would get lost. I used to get a printout from mapquest before I went anywhere ... but now I use my GPS for everything. I have had trouble a couple of times when I got a message that said something along the lines of "Satellite not Found" ... then I just have to pull over and wait or call my husband and ask him to tell me how to get where I need to go. I would love to be one of those folks who just instintively seems to know how to get everywhere. I just stay lost all the time I LOVE MY GPS!!
Sorry for the hijack, this is certainly no disrespect regarding the original post in the thread, I really feel awful for that poor woman and her family. RE: the GPS's. Yeah, my husband is fond of saying I could get lost in a paper bag. It's quite frustrating at times. I can't imagine life without the GPS now, that is for sure. Everything looks the same to me here because it's so much flatter than where I grew up, I just have a hard time navigating.
LMAO, yeah i could use that excuse too coming from VA but i got just as lost up there and there were no GPSs or cell phones - had some interesting trips:lol:
I'm in Johnston County ... but I have a Raleigh address also. I should have thought to try that also. I never can figure out what town I'm in around here. I'm just a lost soul.
This happened to my mother. 83 living alone. Fortunately in her case, they found the guy and shot him dead when he tried to run from then.
Another good reason for incorporation....so we know where the heck we are and who we belong to. We aren't Garner, Clayton, Raleigh, Fuquay, Benson, Angier, or Willow Springs.
