Is there any way to keep a friend on Facebook but not allow their posts to show on my Facebook page? If so, please explain the procedure.

beside the friends 'post' a little arrow will come up....to the right....click on the arrow and a note will come up 'hide ______" and click that and that person's posts will not appear in your 'feed'.

    Kelly beat me to it.

That way you still have them as a friend but you don't have to read about how many times they walked the dog that day. 8)

  5. I think there are several ways, but one - I think - is to click the top right hand corner of the post and it gives you the option to limit or omit posts from that person.

  6. Okay, actually you don't even have to click. If you just run your cursor over the right side of the post you'll see "hide." It gives you the option to hide posts from this person in the future.

Hover over the person's post. You will see a drop down menu called "hide" on the right hand side. Click on that and it will give you options. For example, you can hide all of a person's posts, or you can hide posts about mafia wars, etc.

Okay, well how do you select what they can and cannot see on YOUR page?

Like, if someone sent me a friend request, and I don't want them viewing my pics, or all of my updates....

Is there a way to do that?

Ok the 50k question. If you click on hide is there a way to unhide?

    Here's how I do it...

I created "friend lists" of Personal Friends, Family, and Work. Each friend goes in the appropriate category (or categories). Then, for each of my photo albums (or videos, or whatever), I decide if I wanted Personal Friends, Family, or Work to be able to see them (you can select more than one at the same time).

Scroll to the bottom of your news feed and then click on "Edit Options". Five minutes later, you'll remember why you hid them in the first place. :)
