Fishin' with no license

Any places to fish around here that do not require a fishing license?

 

I'm not positive, but I think you need a license just about anywhere, unless you own the property.....or are on food stamps (seriously).

OK all you sportsmen out there, you're bound to know the law better than I do. :?

 

If I'm not mistaken you can fish the river a streams in your own county with no license but you have to use live bait

There is a fine for fishing without a license but I don't know what it is. Licenses are $15. I got mines at Walmarts. ....but I'm not really worried bout a crack down on unlicensed anglers either ... unless I was at a place that game wardens frequent.

My wife got a ticket July 3rd, fine is $150. Game Warden said she could go get license and not have to pay the fine.... so I reckon you can go out and fish 'til you get caught, then go get a license!!!

 

LOL - I wish speeding tickets were that easy to resolve.

 

Also, salt water license is $15.00, fresh water is $15.00. both - $30.00, I think.

If you are just getting by, and many are right now, there is a way to fish for free anywhere in the state.

Go to your county's social services and ask for a Subsistence Fishing Licence. Ask for the fresh & saltwater licence. It's free and takes about 20 minutes. All you need is a drivers license for an ID. No forms, no applications, and no financial info is needed. They take your word that you need it.

I think it's a good thing and I like the idea; let me fish and I won't need the stamps.

 

There's not a thing wrong with good Fresh Fish and Rice.... Very nutricious!!

If folks need to fish "to get by" they don't need to have a computer or internet. (not saying anyone on here needs to....but i bet there are some)

Give me a break....if any person is so bad off financially that he/she needs to fish in order to eat........you should NOT own a computer or have internet. Um...priorities?

Again....I'm not saying anyone on here is in that situation.



And we wonder why this country is 1 gazillion bucks i debt?

 

Assuming they had a job when they got the computer, what are they supposed to do, sell it for next to nothing and then have no way to search for a job online?

I can sort of understand your bitching about welfare recipients, but fishing? Is the $15 license fee they get to avoid really going to impact you?

 

They can get food stamps and other hand outs for food. I don't think there is a free hand out for the internet.
