Ok, trying to figure what dh needs to do weekly to be eligible for benefits. I think he said he's supposed to apply for 2 jobs per week? and is supposed to show that he actually met w/ someone about said jobs? What if there are not 2 jobs per week for him to apply for? Also: what about applying online, since most jobs use online applications? (regarding the in-person requirement)?
My fiancee has been on unemployment for a couple of months now... It's rough. He files everything online and he hasn't had to submit any paperwork as proof that he's contacted someone. Almost everything he has applied for has been online anyway, and it seems to be ok. He said all he has to do online each week id truthfully indicate that he did apply for at least two jobs... Hope this helps. Hang in there. I'll say a prayer for you...
You can apply for a job in any method other than by phone and it's accepted. If you walk in to fill out an application and they tell you they aren't taking ap's you can write that on your sheet and it's acceptable. I'm at the point where, "What if there are not 2 jobs per week for him to apply for?" I've hit every job field related business in the area. I wish I hadn't done 6 job ap's a week now. I'm running out of places to go.
Thanks everyone - he thought the interview went well, but of course he's not the only one applying, so we just have to wait and see. ......
