I would have to translate it first from german .basically you make a regular yeast dough like for pizza, with 1lb. of flour ,use 1 cup of water and 1 cup of milk both warm,1 pkg. of yeast and 1 pkg. of instant potatoes for mashed potatoes any flavor and 1 teaspoon of salt. After making the dough let it rise for 2-3 hours. Roll it out and place on baking sheet, slice tomatoes and press into dough. Brush with olive oil and bake at 350 for approximately 25-30 minutes. In addition I also browned some onions and added them to the top and seasoned with some italien herbs.
Probably enough carbs there for a week, but looks absolutely scrumptious. I bet it smells as good as it tastes, too. Now I'm hungry and its not even lunch yet. Cheesecake, too. Now that is my weakness.
Thanks, I'll have to try that. Sounds delicious! We were stationed in Germany for a couple of years back in the 60's, we enjoyed it a lot.
Yes,you sure can smell it while it's in the oven, when done it comes close to the italien focaccia bread,it also works well when used as a pizza dough
