I have both episodes DVRed and haven't watched them yet.... busy busy.... but I plan on it.
I was going to post about it last week but then forgot- I agree,it is interesting, makes you wonder about the true 'importance' of looks, but no matter which way you look:lol: at it,it seems looks do seem to play a major role. A person could pass their soul mate on the street and not even spare them a second glance because he/she didn't score high enough in the looks department.
What is it...a reality show? Sounds more like a plan for desperate people who want to blind date but are afraid of who they will be set up with.
As long as it's not another dumb *** reality show it doesn't matter. I will say that in the last week or so I've seen a couple of episodes of 2 and a half men and found it funny as all get out. That and the Big Band theory is kinda funny in a dorky sort of way.
Two and half men is one of my favorite sit-coms. Actually, I think its the best TV show Charlie Sheen has done and John Cryer makes the show IMO. That show, along with either Raymond or MASH is all I get to watch. Of course, Andy Griffith Show if I get the chance. I'm not into reality shows. My reality has enough drama.
I like 2 1/2 Men as well, other than that I'm hopelessly hooked on Lost. I was a big Seinfeld fan, liked Raymond and a few others, all off the air by now or at least no new episodes. I'm glad there's pbs,it just seems there's not much to much watch these days. I do get 3 german stations that I watch regularly
"Dating in the Dark" for a second there I thought someone figured out my dating technique. I always figured the darker it was the better my chances!
I've seen shows on this and read about it. I agree that my chances are probably better in the dark! Sherry :lol:
I am a reality show junkie...I can't help it. I do record Two and a half men each week because I think it's really funny. My DH watches the Big Bang Theory each week.....he HATES reality tv.
They take 3 guys/3 gals and they all meet in a dark room, so dark that they litereally cannot see their hand in front of their face. First they all meet in a group and introduce theirselves and talk a little bit. Then they go back to their separate quarters and talk about who they think they would 'click' with. Then the show tells them who (according to their profiles/questionare) they match with. Then they have the choice to either meet again with the person they choose or the show chooses. They do some other activities to find out more about the person (still w/out seeing them) and eventually they 'reveal' the couples to each other. Usually by then (before the reveal) they're already feeling a connection or not - so then after they see what the person actually looks like, they each get to decide if they want to go on a real date, some do, some don't. They have infared? cameras so you see what they're doing in the dark, but they can't see ea other, but they can touch ea other. Its kinda creepy cause they're eyes look really weird - alien like! Its interesting - some of them say they always went by 'looks' first - and probably wouldn't have talked to this person IRL.
Never liked Seinfeld, nor Raymond, didn't like their stand up stuff nor their shows. But I do like Keven James
so basically it sounds like it is like internet dating where you get to know the person before seeing them IRL and what they actually look like.
This is perfect cause Progress Energy killed the lights at my place and I'm lookin a little lady to come over for dinner. We are having spaghetti so dress purty. If I get too much interest I'll have to draw from a hat... cause I ain't got enough sauce for everybody.
