When you are used to hearing your son's "kid" voice for 13 years, and then he hits puberty and his voice starts changing, getting rougher and deeper.

Why cant they stay 8 forever?

I wished they could stay little longer. My baby is 20 today. I no longer have teenage kids.

I've got one 13, also...It's the other changes that scare me! Believe it or not, I can almost remember when I was 13-14, and I know what was on MY mind!!! :)

The funniest thing is when people call and say, "Who was that man that answered the phone?"

    Yes - it does suck.
Can someone tell me what DS, DH, DD etc stands for? I figured out that the second letter is son, husband, daughter, but what is the first D for?

My baby will be 25 in December; they'll ALWAYS be babies to us, no matter how old they get!

Mine will be turning 8 pretty soon. Sometimes he acts as if he's already bored with childhood. What they say about youth is true. You just don't know how good you have it, until you're grown.

We went shopping for a school backpack today. He knew exactly what he wanted (within a reasonable price, of course) and was done with Disney backpacks and the cartoon type. He wanted something more "grown." He's already talking about when he can get his license. Seems like a long time away, but I know how fast the past 8 years has been.
