Well my 25th class reunion is fast approaching and the last two I went dateless. I need a date.

My mom who is very witty in her old age told me to hire an escort. It sure has crossed my mind. Where are the nice single men over the age of 40? Maybe they living in another state possibly.

Why ever would you want a date for your reunion? If you do that you will be responsible for someone else being comfortable and you may not be able to freely interact with old friends and classmates. I have done it both ways and had so much more fun going "single". Our class all sat in one area and we could get up and move around freely and socialize. Now if you were married it would be a whole different matter but some of my married friends went with out spouses.

Don't bring a date. You'll have a blast and you never know, you might re-connect with another available classmate. It happened at our 20th. Two people from our class got together, had a son a year later (wow!), and attended our 25th as a couple! :)

Just went to my ten year last night and left my hubby back in NC! All of the spouses and signifigant others for the most part seemed to feel awkward. Especially the poor girl who had to watch her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend from high school chase after him all night! No good. You'll have a good time by yourself. Once you get talking to people and have a few drinks it all goes smoothly from there.

I went with my husband several times & I always felt out of place & like a 5th wheel. Go single-you won't have to worry about someone else being in the zone. Hey, my husband didn't-but then he doesn't have a clue.

I say fly solo too. You'll have a much better time not worrying about a 'date'!!

:iagree: I remember at our 10th (20 yrs ago ) one of the guys brought a 'paid escort' it was funny! I am lucky in that my dh has had the opportunity to become friends w/ a few of my friends' dhs - so they hang out whilst we go hang out w/ our friends.

I agree with the others , go by yourself. Who cares if you have a *date* or not??

What the hell do you care what they think of you?

PS... I'll keep my ears open for ya.
