I kicked them to the curb back when they first started this whole rate hike BS.

Haven't missed them yet, internet has replaced the DVR, netflix online everything else

I just told TWC to kiss it!

They took the DVR, the *boxes* AND remotes.

I went to BASIC cable.

The plan is to go to inernet TV. :hurray:

 

so who do you have your internet through? If i got rid of the DVR i would have to get TIVO - i am spoiled:lol:

 

forget about cutting your turbo, tell them to cut your taxes, almost same amount. we have the bundle with dvr for 140 a month, with 2 yr contract, up in june and a couple months after i got it they offered same for 99! they raised my dvr to 10.95 also!:hurray:

 

Do you have an idea of what your rates will go up to after your current contract period?

DH is having withdrawls from the DVR but he'll be fine. :lol:

 

You can bundle dish network w/ Embarq. Thats what we have; dvr, hd etc for about the same price as TWC (last time I checked). :lol: Just the basic service, no special movie channels or anything.

My last embarq bill was $118 and that was for dish, home phone and dsl.

 

Is the $118 for a promotional time period?

I would not sign anything with TWC...if you read my post from 2 weeks ago TWC THUMBS DOWN...you will see that they are full of it...They have outright lied to me on many occasions and the only reason they have my business is because they are a monopoly and they and will get away with what ever they want...they know they have you and will manipulate you to stay...again I would never sign a contract with a cable company...its bad enough to have to sign one with a cell carrier....don't do it...work your deal without the contract

 

No, not for me, we've been with Embarq for probably 3 yrs now. Dish network was a little higher after added HDTV options, but I called to complain and they reduced my bill by $10 for the next yr, so even at $128 eventually, still not bad. We've had Dish for probably 10 yrs? and never had problems w/ them.
