wow-talking about small!!! Makes you wonder what that fuzzy white material is inside the nest :? I had heard that some birds use the filter material from inside cigarette butts :?:? Amazing that they could get so close to the nest without the birds taking a fright,I've never seen a nest even though we've got plenty of hummers buzzing around, they must hide them very well!
that is amazingly cool! Thanks for sharing that. Never knew just how small they were. stephanie--mom to 7
we've found some nests that were made with the cigarette filters, its amazing some of the stuff they'll have in there!
Speaking of spider webs - I noticed quite a few of those yellow and black spiders recently, the ones that have that zig-zaggy line in their web. A few years ago we had a lot of them on the front porch but this year is the first time I noticed them once again.
That was so neat! I have had a hummingbird feeder ever since we moved into this house and just the other day was the first time I saw and hummingbirds at the feeder. It was so neat to watch them. One of them even flew right up to the kitchen window and it was like it was looking right in at me. It was so cool!!!
