Lowes Foods. I know where everything is in the store AND I they double my q=pons. Girl you knew that already. I hit BJ's about once a month for bulk stuff, AND use my q-pons there. I havent *shopped* for anything else in a long long long long time, which is FINE by me. :ack::ack::ack::ack:
Michelle, I shop at Foodlion for weekly food staples (cereal, milk, eggs, yogurt, etc) Lowes Foods for weekly produce and organic stuff Target or Dollar General for paper products and cleaning supplies. Love, Kelly:jester:
I shop what ever store I'm at...at the time that I need something. It's not worth it to me if I have to run around and burn several gallons of gas just to save .50. But it's all about convience for me in that aspect. Edited to add that if I was planning something and needed "volume" products I'd actually plan to do my shopping in a route that would save me the most gas yet allow me to get the best savings.
I buy my groceries at Edwards IGA in Four Oaks. Its about a mile from my house. I wouldn't be saving money if i had to drive to Walmart every time I needed groceries. I go to Walmart ocassionally but definitely not for food.
i do my big grocery shopping at Lowe's Foods, pick up milk, bread, etc when needed at Food Lion and hit Walmart about once a month for paint, cleaning supplies, etc. Never have really grocery shopped there other than picking up a few things when i am already there for something else.
I shop at piggly-wiggly on i-95 across from the railroad tracks, take a left, than a right, then another left, go past frog pond and old refrigerator, it's on the right.
I don't always shop Walmart for my groceries because until now the closest one was in Fuquay. I shop Lowe's Foods for sale items and I've just started shopping Harris Teeter for triple coupon savings. I try to buy all non-perishables at Walmart when I can. I do NOT buy meat from Walmart because I have found that most of it is nasty. I agree about saving money on gas. I usually pass Lowe's Foods everyday on the way home or I can take another route and pass by Food Lion.
Girl, you left out Porters! Sadly, their corn has about reached its end. The last I bought there was turning brown and one ear had a worm in it (yuck).
I was going to ask the same thing ,the craft dept. at the one in Smithfield seems to have shrunk a bit.
Only one small wall with some yarn and some sewing supplies like needles, but that was it. No fabric or anything. Also the shoe dept. is very tiny and so is the handbag (pocketbook) section. Seems to be more food in this store. And tons of HBA.
:iagree: Lowes Food has a much better selection of beer and vegan/vegetarian things, although overall their prices are higher. One just needs to check out weekly specials and plan accordingly.
I was there today and I didn't see any, but I wasn't looking for it..I did see yarn and some other craft stuff.
I went today and it wasn't that busy or no more then any other walmart. I'm glad it's there cause their pet food is cheaper then other places, I have a lot of pet supplies I have to buy each month..so it's good for me. Cleaning supplies and stuff like that. Mainly I do my shopping at Food Lion cause it's like in my back yard lol. Since someone brought up about the smoking, I sort of looked for it today and really the benches are not that close to the doors..I didn't see the big deal about it and yes I smoke.
