anybody have someone they know that they will recommend that sells used appliances? The new couple need a fridge - the one in the house they are fixing up has been sitting for awhile and it will not cool. Would rather go to someone that some of my 4042 family has used before, don't want them to get one and then a month later have it break down. TIA
Honestly.....just tell them to keep an eye on CL and at yard sales. 5 years ago, I bought my side by side, ice in the door fridge at a yard sale for $80. It was filthy, but it was nothing that some clorox and elbow grease couldn't take care of, and it's still running great!
I had heard on the news yesterday morning that come this fall that there will be another cash for clunkers program but for appliances. Heck if I had known that before I paid all that money to fix my 8yo washer
LOL.....if that is the case then I might actually be able to finally finish my all stainless steel kitchen.
Part of it was that I was helping out a local person. If I had gone straight to Sears I could of saved over 300.00. I love Stainless Steel

That's just the first one I came upon, to give an example. I bet they can find one under a hundred - they just have to be vigilant. Or go yard-saling with Jen.
