We take our cars to TAG, Bobby has done nothing but treat us right. I will continue to bring him our business..He is a customer oriented person and you don't get that everywhere you go. I commend him for coming on the site and trying to rectify the situation. Most folks would not.
actually that is one thing this site has done - usually when there is a complaint about a company posted here it gets the attention of the owner and they do come on to try to rectify the situation or in some situations make it worse:lol:
I found them to be expensive. They quoted my 19 year old Son a very high price for a radiator. The guys at Tri-County quoted him about $150.00 less. I always take MY car to Tri-county.
Ive had a great experience with TAG also. I got there 1 day at 5:45 and they close at 6. They were starting to close up and close and I needed an oil change on an old Mustang. They hooked me up and got me out the door before 6. I will take y business back to them just for fitting me in before they closed. Im not sure if Bobby was there that day, but if he was IM sure he remembers seeing the 76 Cobra II come in.
from all these posts, seems like it depends on who you deal with at TAG as to what type of service and prices you are gonna get. i think i will stick with Brian, i always know who i am dealing with and he is always fair and totally explains what he is doing and why:hurray:
My WAG would be a problem with the aux cooling fan. If the problem is that the AC works fine driving down the road, but does not work well when the car is sitting still, that's one of the most likely cause. Basically the AC Condenser needs good airflow over it to transfer the heat away and blow cold inside the car. Most cars have electric fans in front of or behind the condensor (which is usually in front of the radiator) to do this, in addition to helping keep the car's coolant temp within a reasonable range.
My mom always told me if we all liked the same thing we'd get killed in a stampede (sp) trying to get there!
Good Experience at TAG I've taken some "odd" requests to Bobby and the gang at TAG and had good results. I had an aftermarket fuel guage sending unit that I was going to install myself and decided that dropping the fuel tank was a little more than I wanted to do in my back yard. The guys at TAG installed my aftermarket part and charged a very fair price. Most auto repair folks that I've talked to will not install your parts since they make a hefty markup on parts. I like to purchase the parts myself to make sure that I get OEM quality parts. TAG is very prompt as well. Usually able to fit me in within a day.
Honda and Accura Repair If you have an Accura or Honda I'd recommend Dale's Honda and Accura Repair. Dale is a mobile mechanic and comes to you to service your vehicle either at work or home. He uses OEM parts and charges very fair prices. Our honda has been maintained by Dale and has 335,000 miles and still going strong. Dale's Honda and Accura Repair 919-673-6586
I was hesitant to bump the thread, but since you've already done it =D I just got my oil changed at tag today, they used my Royal Purple no problems at all. I really like them. I'll probably go back instead of doing my own oil changes from now on.
Thanks again everyone who's been to TAG, we appreciate your business and your feedback as well. I always try to satisfy my patrons with quality work and honest top notch customer service. If there is anything I could do for anyone don't hesitate to come and see me....Thanks again. Bobby
Hubby and I always go to TAG... my sister is up there right now getting the oil changed in my car and to have it inspected  ..... she loves me.
I don't even know where TAG is, and Bobby sounds like a very reasonable and honest guy, but he should make sure his mechanics know to never send a customer out the door with a bill and no answers ...unless the customer has been warned ahead of time.
