I really like Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom. Both are buffet meals, but serve a lot of interesting ethnic foods. You have the advantage of being able to try a lot of things you might not find elsewhere, and if you don't like it you can try something else.

Someone mentioned Rainforest, but I'm not sure that is included on the meal plan. Check out http://allears.net/pl/packages.htm for lots of good information. (allears.net is IMHO the best overall web site for Disney World information; disboards.com is also good, as you can read discussion boards and ask questions directly).

FYI - they don't serve the fresh pineapple and caramel anymore. Dessert is bread pudding.

Jennifer, aren't both of your kids girls? If so, I would try to get the Princess Breakfast at Epcot (in Akershus). The castle meal is nice, but it takes 2 credits and is not a good value on the Dining Plan. Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace are fun for kids, but if your 2YO is scared of the non-face characters like some other kids are (ie the ones on the suits like Mickey, Pooh, etc), then those might not be good choices.

My sitdown meals on my upcoming trip are:

50's Prime Time at Hollywood Studios
Whipsering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge
    Kona Cafe at Polynesian
Wolfgang Puck Cafe at Downtown Disney
    Tutto Italia at Epcot (Italy)

For your snacks, go to Disboards.com in the Disney Restaurants/Disney Dining Plan sub-board. There is a link to the Snacks on the 2009 Dining Plan that lists just aobut every snack you cna get at every place at WDW. Snacks are way more than ice cream, popcorn and soft drinks!!!

Where are you staying? Are you late November or earlier? Are you going to the Very Merry Christmas Party (starts 11/10)? That requires a separate ticket. If you don't go, make sure you head over to Hollywood Studios and check out the Osborne Lights (starts 11/10) and to Epcot to see the Candlelight Processional (starts 11/27) and the Holiday Storytellers (starts 11/27 I think). If you have the time and are there in late Nov, visit the other resorts onsite and check out their Christmas decorations. Especially nice are the Grand Floridian (giant gingerbread house that has a store inside!), Wilderness Lodge and the Boardwalk area resorts (Beach Club, etc).

Not that I've seen. The only change I know of this year is if you use the Dining Plan, all the meals take 2 credits. I'll have to hunt around and see if I see anything else.

Nope, I hadn't. Same name as here. I don't post very much, I'm mostly a lurker. I post more over at Passporter (but still not very much :) ).

oh, ok. Mine is sorul82? meaning: so, are you late, too? My DISboard friends nicknamed me Slate, so that is what I chose to use here. (Although I registered here many years ago, but couldn't remember my user name so I had to create another one.)
