How do you pronounce it?

"shore" or "sher"

I've heard it both ways. It's been buggin' me. Is there a right or wrong way to pronounce it?

Shore. prolly depends a lot on where ya grew up.

Kinda like dahgs and dawgs. I've never had any dahgs. :mrgreen:

for me it's shore.

 

I think "shore" is wrong too...but then again there are alot of words spoken that don't sound right, or words written that don't sound like they're spoken...you learn that quickly when trying to help a kid learn to read, sound out the words and they make no sense at all!

 

What about Shewer?

It's sher or shur for me.

 

Thanks everyone! I hear "shore" a lot more often. I think I'm the only person in my family that says "sher." I'm not even "sher" why that is?! :lol:
