If you have DSL from embarq:

Is anyone experiencing very-slow connections speeds this past week ?

Intermittently, thru-out the day, we get periods where our internet connection grinds to a halt.
This sometimes lasts a few mins to a couple of hours.
After that, things go back to 3Meg, which is what it normal for the service I have.

I called Embarq on Thursday evening and opened a trouble ticket.
According to Embarq tech support, they believe the issue is somewhere in there network and not at my end.

We have had DSL from Embarq (originally Sprint) since 2004, and have never had an issue until this week.

I have embarq, no problems this past week. If your problem does not get resolved, go to the following site, create an account and send embarq_joey on that site your info, he works for embarq and helps people on that message board, he has fixed several problems for me that the phone support could not fix.

We have been having trouble with DSL and phone all summer long. Phone would go out every afternoon when we had that really hot spell. Last week my neighbor tried to call and couldn't get through. DSL has been slow and out off and on. I called AT & T and they offer phone where I am but not DSL yet. They said a few months. Looked into satellite internet too.
    Will NOT do TWC.

    Is yours fixed?

I have had an open ticket since the 2nd. I'll know in 24 hours what *they* (engineers) are going to do to fix my problem.
