Does this sound like a blown fuse?

My windshield wipers have 4 settings . . . the first 2 do not work anymore. Could that be a blown fuse?

It is possible but my experience with the intermittant wipers is limited. It is more likely there is a loose connection or bad controller.

I got my car cleaned the other day and now my first wiper speed doesn't work. It automatically goes to fast. People must wonder why I have it so high when it is only drizzling, but I can't help it!

Switch or controller. If the motor works on any speed, its good.

Are the switch or controller expensive to fix/replace? It's a 2000 Honda Passport.

VG - don't worry girl, you aren't the only one out there with wipers on high in a drizzle!! I have to laugh at myself when I'm going down the road slinging water over 4 lanes of traffic and it's just barely raining

Use a squeege out the window while you drive. Don't be lazy. A little physical work won't hurt you.

:iagree: sorta... they shouldn't drive period. They shouldn't have time to drive with all the chores they need to be doing...

Bring it on by the trailer park and let Rich pop the hood. Prolly just low on washer fluid or the spare is flat... overseas engineering... they don't make 'em like they used to.

Neither one is expensive, nor difficult to replace. If you dont have a handyman, handy. You could take it to one in the neighborhood you live in. Just bake some cookies and take them by whoever has a garage door open alot.
