http://finance.bnet.com/bnet/?Page=MediaViewer&GUID=10154091&Ticker=SNE This one was being held in Texas, has anyone ever heard of something similar being offered around the Triangle? With RDU being so big on medicine I would have thought that they would have something like that as well!
http://www.freeclinics.us/freeclinic.php need to call Monday to get the specs,it does not seem to be the same thing as in Texas...:?
Great link, thanks for posting it! Unfortunate nothing in Johnston County and it states that one must be a Wake county resident in order to be seen at the ones there  Oh well,so much for that then... I hate to make an appointment with the Dr. I used to see back in the days when we still had insurance, last time I went there for an ear infection,my ear was worse after they got done and it cost approximately $200,then had to go to a specialist which cost around $450 for a 40 minute visit:x but at least the ear got better.
Becareful, I went to the Emergency Dept. because I had pains in my stomach, it ended up costing $6700 and they told me I must be a stomach virus. Just drink plenty of water and eat lightly for a few days, I almost passed out...
Have you checked with the minute-clinic at CVS? They usually post their prices for different services. I think you get a nurse practitioner or whatever they call the person you sometimes see instead of the doctor, but hey, if they can write an Rx for what ails you, who cares? I think there is one at the McGee's location. http://www.minuteclinic.com/en/USA/ Or...you could call the health dept. to see if they can help! http://www.co.johnston.nc.us/mainpage.cfm?category_level_id=450 Good luck! No fun being sick! **If you go and get a prescription, there was a coupon in the free newspaper this week for Rite-Aid that gives you $$$ for taking a new prescription to them. You might find it in the flyer in the store if you didn't get the paper. I have done this with CVS before and got a $25 coupon to use.
That's a great idea with the CVS minute clinic!!! I'll give them a try, thanks so much for letting me know Also, thanks a lot for the link for the Johnston County Health Dept.,I'll give them a call Monday. Thanks as well for the tip about the coupon!! Annette.
I go to Benson Area Medical Center, and they have a program called MAP. The reason I know about it is because my mom use to work there. They base your co-pay off your income. The maximum income though is $27,000 for 2 people, I'm not sure if you have children (we didn't). My "soon to be ex" husband I were on it (because he wouldn't work and I was a recent college graduate, and just married) and I still am by myself and the co-pay is only $5. It pays for most of everything except some bloodwork (because it is sent out of office). And I usually tell the doctor to find a generic of what he's giving me so I don't have to pay as much for prescriptions. Just thought I'd add that in there!
Thanks for that! We are probably over the income limit, however this year might be an exception do to unemployment etc.
