I have a box of toys that I need to get rid of. Nothing wrong with any of it, some of it is almost like new, my kids got it for Xmas and it was left at the cabin...It's appropriate for ages 7 and under I would guess. I would like to give it to someone who really needs it, maybe someone who lost their things in a fire, or who can't give their kids much if anything. Anyone know someone who could use it?

I also have a small bag of clothes for boys sized 2T free to whoever wants it. PM me if you know someone!

i pm'ed you about the clothes. We have too many toys, though, and I just said last night that we're going to soon clean out that toybox..I just got rid of a bunch of smaller boy clothes. I can never find anyone to take them, even for free, so I've started taking mine down to the Guardian Angel Thrift store in Fuquay..

I take clothes & such to Guardian Angel ... but I don't take children's toys there anymore. I didn't think they were taking any childrens toys anymore because of the new laws?? I believe Goodwill still takes the toys ... just don't know about Guardian Angel??

Goodwill does not take them anymore.

Pizazz took them still the last time I donated stuff. I called them first though after Goodwill told me no.

I think you may be right about Goodwill too. I know there are lots of folks here involved with Basic Needs ... are they still accepting toys?

If you can find a Once Upon A Child consignment store, they'll buy stuff like that in good condition. I was quite surprised at just how much we got for a few items. They won't buy everything, but will give good money for some items. What they won't buy, just donate it. Of course, its a bit more trouble but those extra bucks can come in handy.

You know what? You're right about Guardian Angel not taking toys..I'll have to see who I can pawn them off on...

On another note, I found a brand new pair of Nine West heels there last week. I also saw they have tons on great Halloween costumes if anyone hasn't gotten one yet.

What kind of toys are they? I have a 2 year old godson. Anything for his age?

Also, do you have any halloween costumes that would fit him? He is a 2t / 3t.

I'm SURE I have costumes for that age...I have 3 boys and was just thinking about going through our old costumes to put on CL. I'll let you know what I've got, can sell them cheap just don't need them anymore. My youngest is 4, so we're all done with that age. If anyone else needs a small (even baby) costume for boys let me know!

You can take them to With Love From Jesus ministries in Raleigh--they do take toys and clothes--and everything is given away for free to those in need.

Oh - as for the toys, there's a lot of hot wheels stuff and just general things, books, can't remember what else.

maybe you can give them a local church that has a child care center.
