It's easy to forget that it all might end at any minute. Guy was doing a good deed and now he's gone. Just floors me. Hug your kids and your spouses. You just never know.

  3. I really hope so...I just joined today and my first reply to my post was negitive, it was a misunderstand but still. I hope to see more togetherness as I participate in this website. Thanks

Yes, I would ask that you look through some of the archives as there have been MANY efforts started on 4042 that went above and beyond helping local people. If there is any place in this community that comes together in a time of need for someone local it's 4042.com discussion boards. So maybe "hoping to see more togetherness" in the future could be changed to "I've viewed lots of ......" from reading prior threads. Make sure you go back YEARS because it's all there.... in writing.

There are lots of great folks on this site, and many who will jump in and help out when they see a need. It has been heartwarming to see people here pull together and help out when a family suffers loss through a house fire, or a family member is injured or seriously ill.

At the same time, some people post here for the entertainment value of getting a reaction from other posters. Just keep a sense of humor, and don't ever take anything personally.

Why do teenagers think they know it all? Someone please answer this question for me.

....and some people here post in order to spread Obama's socialist agenda. If it was left up to KDGranny, there would be no newspapers outside of the ones directed by the federal government. Beware of these types.

PM me if you need more information about select posters and God bless your efforts.

    Because they're teenagers. duh.

Not everyone has made it above 12 yet. and only a select few of those have yet to cross into the 20s. I'm no longer a member of that elite set... but i remember when i was. the knowledge was glorious!

    Lol....

  14. They think they know it all and they think their parents are naive. My stepdaughter recently told me she's going to a keg party... but she doesn't drink. Last summer on her Facebook page she advertised her graduation party with BYOB and told me it meant "bring you own blanket" in case anyone wanted to crash on the floor. Keep in mind, she does not live with us. Her other family (I like to call them) is much less strict than we are, hence... she's never here! Her dad is too strict because we actually wants to know where she is all night.
