Does anyone know if any unleashed dog park exists in Johnston County? Here's the deal...my community is looking to open up an unleashed dog park for our community members. I have no idea where to start with this so I need some suggestions on who to contact as far as the regulations for size, what kind of materials we use, etc. If anyone has a dog park in their community, I would really love some feedback. Also, any clue who I contact at the Town of Clayton? I spoke to an operator and she had no idea....:banghead: Thanks!
Clayton has one on the books to be built out near Vinson Racquetball (Tennis?) club. I got that info from: Clayton Parks & Recreation Department Larry Bailey - Director - 553-5777 lbailey@townofclaytonnc.org Although last two times I emailed him for a status on it, he didn't return my note. I know Cary isn't in Johnston Cty but I believe they have a private dog park....
On Friday nights and Saturday's I haul my two tri pods over to the carolina pines dog park on lake wheeler road. Its on lake wheeler road between I-40 and Tryon roads.
If you hear anything please post. We went to one of the meetings regarding the building of the dog park in Clayton, but haven't heard anything since.
