Since I have started cleaning the ears out a little more frequently, I am of little help in this department.

  5. This looks great. I usually buy Mrs. Smith's Sweet Potato pie. I'll have to try this recipe.

    can you bake????

  8. I can, but I'm not exactly an expert in the kitchen. Martha Stewart would pity me. I did make Paula Deen's crockpot mac and cheese this weekend, and it was yummy. Of course, a 1st grader could have done it.

There ought to be plenty left out in the fields. Anything orange and mushy that you have to douse in marshmallows just to get it down is not fit for consumption.

Yep, just make sure your container is airtight and thaw it out in the fridge for a day or so. You can also just peel/steam the sweet potatoes and freeze them for future use in other recipes.

Ab, your kids might like these - mine do.

    Sweet Potato Fries

    Ingredients
    Non stick cooking spray
    1 lb medium sweet potatoes
    1 Tbsp butter, melted
    1/4 tsp seasoned salt
    Dash ground nutmeg

    Directions
Lightly coat 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Scrub potatoes; cut lengthwise into quarters. Cut each quarter into two wedges. Arrange potatoes in a single layer in pan. Combine margarine or butter, salt, and nutmeg. Brush onto potatoes. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until brown and tender.

Thanks. Going to do that one today. Have a ton of sweet potatos. May go pick some more today as it is early release day. Who knows. Don't want to get too many though & not use them. We're going to be baking & cooking all weekend long--LOL. Love it. Perfect weather for it. Thanks for the recipe.
