Any one ever know someone who has gone through anger management? Does it work?

I have a co worker going through it now and i am not sure it is working. He has good days and bad days. The bad days I just try to avoid him. Today was one of those days.

Well, what is anger management? It's steering feelings to some unviolent thought or "finding your happy place" as some like to state. Re-programming a violent person would take time since much of wht occurs is automatic.

Well he's been going for over 6 months now I think once or twice a month I think. He adds them to outlook calendar but some of the dates get cancalled and rescheduled I think. Do you think there would be any change one way or another in six months?

You can pretty much tell his mood with the first words he says. Today was a bad day. Those days I just try to avoid him.

I imagine anybody can fib their way through something if they want to... is it court-ordered or something he/she did of their own accord?

It can be hard dealing with someone like that at work. Makes you wanna be away from that person and its harder to do that if that person is your boss.

Not sure if its court ordered but I know the day he went to make his first appointment. I had heard him on the phone and I actually thought he was kidding. We are always kidding each other. I didn't mean to but I snickered. I guess I did it loud enough for him to hear and he winged me with one of those stuff toys with the voice box inside it. It had knocked my glasses on to the floor. He then put them on mute and began ripping me a new one verbally, taking them off mute and being polite, putting them back on mute continuing to cuss like a sailor, taking them off mute and being polite again.

In the office we are always kidding around, sometimes its hard to tell when he is kidding and serious. But I can usually tell when he is in one of his moods and try to stay away from him in general.

Thankfully he has his own office now. Passed him in the break room barely said two words to each other. I consider him a friend but one I would not trust much any more.

Wow. It sounds more like he has some kind of personality disorder or is bipolar the way he can switch it up like that. Good luck Rocky, you're a super nice guy and I'm glad that guy has an office now and you don't have to be his whipping post anymore.
