The Garner Police Department is hosting a 4 hour rape/self defense class October 24th. See link below for more info. Right now there are only a 6 people signed up and the police department needs at least 6 more to sign up to keep the class on the schedule. This class could save someones life! WOOO HOO!!! I'm so glad to get more people in this class!!! I have always wanted to take a class like this and I'm really looking forward to learning how to kick butt, in case I ever need to. Did I mention that Officer Troy stated girls 11 and up can attend??? I am taking my 14 yr old with me to this great class after searching the sex offender registry and finding out there are 27 within a 5 mile radius of our home!!! That is so scary and I want my daughter to be prepared in case she ever needs to defend herself!!! Hope to see you all there!!!
