Just wanting to see what everyone out there is paying teenagers AND adults to watch your kids.

What are you paying if say, it's only for a night out, and also what are you paying if its a nanny or someone who watches your child 5 days or less a week.

It's my first time having to pay someone else to watch the youngins. Currently I'm having someone watch them 3 days a week.

    Any sugguestions?

if its an experienced baby sitter you are looking at 10.00 an hour. Other than that I can't help you with anything else..maybe someone else can help with the other part of your question

$10 an hour!?!?! wow...I dont have to pay often but have been charged:

    $8/hr for 1 yr old
    $5/hr for 1 yr old

both were high school girls who watched her.

I would say that a nanny/at home sitter all week would be more than daycare. Daycare around our area for a 4 yr old is approx $130/week. ($170 for infant)

    Hope that helps.

I have 3 kids, ages 4, 6, 9 and I pay anywhere from $8-12/hour for a sitter. It gets expensive, that's for sure! The adult that sits for them is the most expensive, she's $12/hour. The teenagers that watch them are anywhere from $8-10 usually. If it's a short amt of time I'll give them a higher rate than if it's for a longer period of time.

I have two children, 7 and 3. For full time care for my 3 year old I've always used in home sitters. I have paid anywhere from $100 - $125/week for approximately 45hrs/week. For babysitters, I pay $7/hr and the girl I use is First Aid/CPR certified. You can find a lot of in-home child care in the classifieds here and all that I have interviewed have been AWESOME (couldn't use them because they were out of the way for me).

I'm 26 and have been babysitting since I was 12. I always charged $5 an hour but they always gave me a little extra. Now, I charge between $8 and $10 depending on ages and although I let my certification expire, I have had CPR and First Aid training. I usually charge a set rate at $120-$140 a week depending on # of days and ages once again. But that is negotiable. I'm available now :)

I have 3 kids 7, 7, 10 and I pay $10/hour. Experienced, trained baby sitter. Would pay a little more per hour for short amount of time; little less for whole day.

For a date night we just drop the kids at Screamin Mimi's, which enables us to be much more spontaneous. Otherwise we typically pay around $10 per hour, for a 3 year old and 7 year old. For full-time daycare, we pay $160 a week for the 3 year old.

SeaBee won't charge you nothin as long as the fridge is stocked with beer and he don't have to watch the creepy purple dino dance around while the football game is on.
