leggings are making a come-back this yr :ack: you should be able to find them just about anywear. or, if you have tight black (workout type) shorts, maybe those would work?

check out those earring places in the mall (that sell teenage stuff) I'm pretty sure I've seen leggings there. For the other clothing, be sure to take a gander at goodwill. You just never know!

I saw leggings, fingerless gloves & other 80's items while out shopping today. However, we were shopping at Justice for girls & Clairs. I didn't go in any of the adult stores ... but I'm assuming those things would be out for the teens if the are out for the little ones who are trying to dress like the teens :)

Have you been in the new Rue21 next to the new Walmart? I haven't been in there but their website shoes some brightly colored 80's shoes & leg warmers. In fact, the website shows some 80's looking outfits. Looks like you will be able to wear your Halloween costume regularly soon and stylishly fit right in :) What a way to be economically wise ... this week its your Halloween costume ... next month I'll see you wearing it to the school PTA meetings.

OMG Melynda, that kills me!!!! Could you see the look on Mr V's face if I walked in like that! Bright eye shadow, big hair, short see-through skirt, leggings, he'd die!!! LOL

I love all this advice, thank you! I totally forgot about tying the shirt in the front...if all else fails I'll do that. Gonna hit the cheap stores today and see what I can find. Maybe I can find some clearanced tanks someplace, hopefully in bright colors.

Harley - thanks for the offer, but I'm a little girl with big feet, 7 1/2! that's what happens when you keep having babies, the feet (among other things) grow! :jester:

Didn't I see a picture of one of our fine parents dressed as a chicken at school the other day? If Mr. V is OK with a chicken, surely he'll be ok with a little 80's attire :)

    LOL! Yes you did...ssshhhh!

I'm all set with everything except the leggings. Target did have some black ones, and purple plaid (yuck!) but the employee there helping me told me to go to a place called Rainbows over by the 401 Walmart and she said they have some BRIGHT colored one. :hurray: It'll go great with the ripped neon colored shirt I bought this morning. I can't wait, am sooo excited! If I'm real brave I might post a photo here, but if not those of you who are my FB friends can see what I look like.

Thanks everyone for your help on this! I'm all set now, and have had so much fun getting my costume pieces together! I found a great 80's style ripped up neon colors shirt and even leg warmers! (didn't want to spend the money but just couldn't resist, they make the costume and were only $3.99) I am going to look hysterical, but don't care, it's all for fun!

Who's going to the clubhouse Halloween night for their party? :hurray:
