I just got a new car recently and it is BlueTooth capable. What does that mean?? Do you have to already have a bluetooth for your phone or can you just connect it by syncing your phone to it? I tried to read the info in the manual but there are so many options and I just don't get it!

I have the same problem..... I just gave up trying to figure it out. I have an appointment with the car dealer to see if they can help me. I told the guy he probally thought I was an idiot, but he said many people have a hard time with it. So you are not alone! Ask your dealer if they can help you.

Most of the time, people think of bluetooth as the little thing you see in everyone's ear. That is not so much the case, as that little thing is using bluetooth technology. Bluetooth technology in your vehicle allows you to connect to a device that is bluetooth capable. This in turn makes your device usable hands free. When it is connected to your car, it will automatically ring over your vehicle's speakers and your vehicle has a built in microphone that allows you to talk and it transmits it through your phone. There should be a few buttons on or around your steering wheel that allow you to hang up, answer, and do the setup in order to sync your phone to your vehicle. Hope this helps, and post up if you have any questions.

Nope Craig, not quite what I am looking for! LOL
I may need to call the dealership b/c I have so many "idiot" questions!!
Does it automatically work thru the car once it is synched every time you are in it? And can you only sync one phone?
I feel like a dope when I am dealing with technology!

first off you have to have a phone that supports blue tooth....secondly you have to make sure that the blue tooth portion of the phone is turned on and then go through a sync operation to get the phone's blue tooth capability to talk to any other blue tooth accessory.

When you set up your phone for the first time, as long as you leave your bluetooth enabled on your phone, every time you enter the vehicle it will automatically sync. This can decrease your cell phone battery life just a little, because it's always searching for a bluetooth signal. You can generally sync more than one phone, I know the 2008 Acura TSX can have many cell phones synced with it.

FWIW we have it in both of our cars and love it. Once you figure it out it's great!
