I haven't posted in a while but I want to bring you all up to date on Comet. We haven't gotten him back yet but the JCSO got a court order to retrieve the man's phone call to my daughters cell phone stating that he had Comet. Some of you may not know but this man offered money to my daughter so he could keep Comet for his son. My daughter offered him a $1,000.00 for Comet's return and told this man he could buy his son any dog he wanted. He told her money was not his concern and had the audacity to tell my daughter she needed to do the right thing and sell Comet to him. When she refused he let her know in so many words he would not be returning Comet. Long story short. We do know from law enforcement the number where the call came from. They have gotten a second court order for this man's name and address which should be coming in soon. Mean while we are posting on Craigslist about Comet and this thief keeps flagging our post as soon as they are up. We have made it hard on this individual to take Comet out in public where he lives. We were contacted Monday (Nov 2) that Comet was seen at Lake Lynn this Saturday being walked by an individual. We believe they are having to take Comet to another area to exercise him. Thank you for all your help in trying to find Comet. If any of you are around the Dairy Rd area near the Village Garden Senior Center and Brittney Woods Subdivision keep and eye out for Comet. Comet is a smooth coat chihuahua with light brown/reddish patches with a black nose, eyes and mouth I'm not good at putting pics on this post. My heart goes out to you and I truly hope that it is Comet that he has. I hope it is not some sick hoax and I pray that Comet is returned safely to you soon!

About Comet being seen in Brittney Woods subdivision was this.......... The day the man called saying he had Comet was bout 4 to 5 days after Comet was spotted by several people on the Village Garden Senior Center parking lot. A family that works at the Pizzeria near by tried to lure Comet for a couple of days with some cheese. Comet wouldn't come to them because that is his nature, he is shy of strangers. They didn't want to chase after him for fear he would run into traffic on Dairy Rd. This family saw one of the fliers we put out and called us and told us about seeing Comet and trying to catch him. We went out to the neighborhood across the street from the Senior Center and passed out fliers and 3 or 4 people said they saw Comet also. We also went into Brittney Woods Subdivision and passed out fliers there and thats when a lady told us her friend saw Comet being walked by a man with his young son. This lady was not aware of this man calling us and stating to my daughter he wanted to keep Comet for his young son. It was also after this that this guy begin to post on Craigslist defending the guy who took Comet stating that Comet was probably being treated better by his new owners than us and that we needed to move on and get another dog. We knew it was the guy who took Comet posing as someone else because in his post he made statements that were the same thing when he called. Many people out in the Brittney Woods area know about Comet and are looking for him and some are so mad they say they are going to kick this guys butt when they catch him although we are not advocating violence. This guy also knows by many that have responded on Craigslist their anger and their diligence to keep an eye out for Comet has put so much pressure on him that he couldn't dare bring Comet out into the subdivision over there. He is not posting responses to our Craigslist about Comet he is just flagging them as soon as they go up. Comet does have a chip and all the vets around are on the lookout for Comet
I really hope you find Comet. Comet is my "friend" on facebook and I've been keeping up with his story. I will continue to be on the lookout for him. Good luck!!

That's what we can't understand. When you know someone is distraught over their dog how could you just keep him and we know someone has him. Also with the countless fliers, postings on CL, pet finding internet sites, News Observer ads, the ones that took him have seen the great efforts we have put forth to get Comet back. Yet, despite it all they refuse to give him back. There is a God in heaven and he said "Vengeance is mine I will repay" and someone so heartless and cruel that did this, God is going to get them. There is no doubt about it
Can we go get Comet..I have some pent up aggression I need to let out...XCome on Harleygirl.. please....please.... That lowlife dog stealing trash needs a butt kicking...
Update on Comet 1/06/2010 This is what I just posted on Craigslist. In search for Comet we received so much concern and encouragement. Of course there were the few wacked out individuals that insulted us and even called us liars posting that we were making up the whole thing about Comet even though we listed the JCSO # to verify what we claimed. The following has been posted on Craigslist I wanted all of you to know that the search for Comet and the man who claimed to have taken Comet and refused to return him is about to come to an end. To all of you who showed concerned thank you so much for your prayers and support. To the few skeptics and antagonizers well you know what you can do. Here is why we couldn't divulge much during this whole ordeal. Smithfield Sheriffs Dept of Johnston County initiated an investigation and received a court order to subpoenaed my wife's phone records from (T-Mobile). The date and time this man called my wife was July 28th at approximately 11:56 a.m. He made 2 calls that day. Smithfield detective division had to issue a second subpoena. It revealed the call came from Sprint. A third subpoena had to be initiated from a judge in Smithfield. We learned then through the detective handling the case that this subpoena of the Sprint records revealed the call came from a Virgin Mobile phone. Here is the phone number 443-416-70_ _. I won't reveal all the number at this time but I want the sorry s.o.b that called my wife to know we have the info. We know he will be reading this. The call came from a cell tower in Owensville, Maryland. We have the name of the individual (the real name) and location. He thought he had gotten away with it, because he *67 his number when he called and assumed he wouldn't be caught. He also thought as others did on here that we were blowing smoke when we posted that he would be caught. The rest is up to you sir. If you have our dog you better email this posting immediately and set up a time of return. If we don't hear from you the Calvert County Sheriffs Dept in Maryland will be contacted to issue a warrant for your arrest. The wheels of justice turn slow but they do turn. You have 48 hrs to respond or multiple charges will be filed against you
