    My family is devastated.

Our sweet Delilah flew out the front door this morning. We have been searching both by foot and car for over 4 hours. DH even came home from work to help with the search. No luck.

Please keep an eye in your trees, on your fences, etc for her. Her body is mostly light gray, with a bit of white. She has a yellow face with an orange circle on each cheek.

She is a sweet and very loving bird, but may be frightened when and if we are lucky and find her. Delilah loves rice krispies and cannot hurt you even if she tries her best!

Thank you in advance for all your help!

    What area is this in?

About a mile from the intersection of Cornwallis and 42. She was flying high and fast, so I figure she could be just about anywhere.

Even if you live a distance from this area, please keep looking. You never know.

I am sure if someone finds her there will be a reward. My daughter already put up her whole bankroll; $11.00. My son put in his $10.00. They have started a Delilha reward jar on the kitchen table.

Thanks KDsGrandma, for reading my post and inquiring! I appreciate it.

Last we saw she was flying East, i think. Perhaps North East.

But I hate to limit the area, as who knows how far she'll get.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

My son is still out looking for her.

I'm normally against people posting their phone numbers on the internet BUT you might want to put a contact # here just incase anyone does see her or can actually catch her.

I'll be checking my email/pm's regularly. Still no sign of her. We are so worried about her making it through the night!
Thank you so very much to all who are keeping an eye out for Delilah.
I am praying for a happy ending.

Yep, and we have searched as much of them as we can today. Binoculars, boots and all. Her favorite treats are on the roof of the house and all over the yard. Her cage is on the front porch, all doors opened. We left the front door open all day today. Would have been wonderful if she just flew back in. We are all so worried about her making it through the night.
Thanks to all for your concern. Please continue to keep your eyes open for her.
    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Missing Delilah and hate thinking about her long night. Wet, cold and who knows! I wish I could get rid of this terrible ache and guilt! I blame myself. Shoulda' kept her wings clipped, but wanted her to have the freedom in the house. She mainly stayed on/in her cage unless she went to visit someone's shoulder. If she comes home, that's one of the first things we will do! Although I have not given up all hope, reality tells me it's not likely that she will be found.

JocoMom, keep your eye out on any and all pet boards, i cannot tell you how many cockatiels fly away and if lucky are found and rehomed - i have done a few myself after looking for the owners to no avail. It is a hard lesson to learn about clipping your bird's wings, unfortunately my son and his family had to learn that same lesson:cry::cry::grouphug:

    Thanks Kaci!
We have called all the vets and pet shops that we found listed within a 15 mile radius, leaving our contact info. As well we reported it to the Johnston and Wake County SPCA, Pet 911 and the Johnston Animal Services. She's also in craigslist lost and found. Looking for some pet forums online, but not having much luck finding them.
    She's still not home.

    None. Thanks for asking.

We did get a call Monday night from a SPCA saying that an animal control officer had found a cockatiel. Thank goodness I didnt tell my children, just went at 8:30 the next morning when the facility opened. It wasn't Delilha. Actually, it wasn't even a cockatiel. I was so sad, because I allowed myself to believe it had to be her. Anyway, nothing.

Again, thank you for asking and thanks to all for keeping an eye out for her.
