On Friday, November 13th Governor Beverly Perdue will be in Clayton at The Clayton Center auditorium at 9:30 a.m. The purpose of her visit is to make a major announcement regarding economic development.

The only way she can help the economy is to resign.

Smells like a "Dell Computer" in Winston Salem tax break scam by another company. I'll wait to see what the N.C. Economic Investment Committee & Johnston County are willing to give away on another worthless contract before jumping for joy. The burden in services that the tax break creates has to be carried by someone?

Prosperity 'for all' when viewed through rose colored glasses.

Considering that they are already here and pretty well established, I think this makes sense. Dell was a fresh start, where they gave away the farm to get them here.

Talecris seems to be good for our community, at least from where I sit. This is GOOD news for our area.

I agree with Harvey - they were already here. If they had chosen elsewhere we would be envious.
Now - everyone call back home and tell friends and family it's not true. There are no jobs here.....

Don't confuse dunce with facts and sense. It ruins his Big Business is Evil mantra.

Well they are good for my company as they are providing us with more business almost daily. When you add in additional growth from GSK, Merck, and Novo for my company it is always a good thing.

Hubby has worked there 21 years and they are a good company. An "American made" product that is shipped world wide and saves lives. They had planned expansion all along but we are thrilled they chose to further their committment to the Clayton/Johnston County area. :hurray:

I leave it to you to confuse the current facts with feared future results.

I'm still undecided as to whether I support tax breaks like this or not.
