Set the heat to 70 degrees last night and woke up to the house being 65 degrees. I can feel cool air being blown through the registers I had pressed the reset button on the outside unit yesterday, cleaned the filter, checked all the fuse panel. Any suggestions? I just checked the AC part works.
Call Mike's Heating and Air! 70 degrees I would be freezing to death. I have mine set on 75 the last 2 months!
Same thing going on here. Don't think the gas furnace is lighting. Can't wait to see what that is going to cost.
I keep my house set on 65 year round so it sounds perfect to me:mrgreen: Sorry, I'm no help but I hope it is an easy fix for you. We had to use Briggs for an emergency this summer and they were fast and reasonable. Coupon was available on their website as well.
I had called Modern Mechanical. Friend of mine knows the owner. Came out looked at it. Will be back Monday. Needed two parts. He'll put the parts in and clean the unit under the house and in the back. For about 250.00. At least its not a day time high of 30 degrees out yet. I usually keep my house year round around 69-71 degrees. This may be TMI but since I live alone (with the exception of two dogs, three cats, and a beta fish) I usually walk around in my home in my bvd's
glad you are able to get it fixed. You all would freeze at our house. 62 we keep it set to in the winter. 68 in the summer. You get used to it after a while. The bathrooms have built in heaters so that not bad, and we dress warm. Keep the gas bill down.
Man, thats chilly inside. I'd be walkin around in a Snuggie! I've got a little electric space heater around here someplace if you need to borrow it.
Thanks for the offer. Got something better. Got to three legged hunting dogs. Took them outside so I could let them do their business and open the tank for the lp gas. The dogs got wiff of something and they both ran off into the wetlands. Took my neighbor and his shepard and me about 20+ minutes to track them down. Nice and warm now.
ha-ha, I have shorts and t-shirt on and it 62 inside, bit to hot still. When we go over to the in-laws in the winter, I have to wear shorts and t-shirt like it summer as they keep it at 70.
just to let you know I usually sleep in my bvd's, So for me it was a bit nippy if you get my drift Sorry for the TMI
