Speaking of German bread recipes ......
Does anyone on this list have a good (tried & true) Stollen Bread recipe?

    Thanks Annette.
Last year I tried 2 recipes from the internet with not so great results, but this recipe is very different from those two.

I'll let you know how it comes out!:)
    Thanks again!

    You're welcome!! :)
If you can't find the candied orange and lemon peel you can also leave it out and just use a few more raisins instead,I've also used chopped up dried apricots instead before ;) can't wait to find out how it will turn out!
PS: a good way to let the yeast dough rise is to put the bowl with the dough in the sink which is filled with warm water, about 3/4ters up the outside of the bowl ;)

I used the mint oreos and I thought they were just a little too gooey, but still good! I think the problem was there's not as many cookies in the flavored bags as the regular, so if I make them again I'd use just a little less than 1 block of cream cheese. Also - even after I chilled them, when I tried to dip them in choc, the balls kept falling apart! finally I sent DH to FL to get come of the choc dip/coating stuff - worked much better!

I froze them before I tried to dip them, worked great. Except now I have to venture out to get the ingrediants for more because there aren't enough left to take up to the relatives, LOL.
