This has come up several times now. The boss needs to track down a phone number for a business. They are Inc. and are listed on the Secretary of State's website for corporations BUT no phone number is listed. They are not in the phone book and not available when I Google, nor on MSN white or yellow pages. Also searched the appropriate Home Builders Association's websites and they are not members. I've got their address which will have to do, but how can a business operate when their phone number is so hard to find? Anyway, anybody got any idea where else I can look for the number, I am out of ideas.
You have to know how to really search the web to come up with some of the information out there. It's amazing what you can find if you know how to properly look for it.
Try pipl.com - they claim to be able to search deeper into the web than other sites. Search by name, username, email etc - they might even have business listings now, too. I use it when I do 'research'. Also try the county's GIS services. The only thing stopping you is how bad you need to contact this person.
HG, I'll PM you. Thanks everybody, we do want the number, but not quite bad enough to go all stalker, LOL. Am familiar with GIS, even searched on building permits, but alas, their number was not on the building permits, from what I could tell. similar situation We had a situation similar to this just the other day. Turns out the phone number is listed under the owner's name and not the business. He uses his cell phone as his business phone. The company has a website but does not list the phone number nor address on the site. I thought that was odd.
Yep! I imagine that is the case here as well. I know who the owner is, and found a home number for him, but that seems a bit stalkerish for a business issue, LOL. We'll just send him something in the mail and leave it at that. :cheers::cheers:
phone numbers you can call 1-800-466-4411 for business conections! You can call from any phone including cell phones and they will ask you for city and state then name of business and will then dial the number for you! This is a service provided by Google
