Due to hydraulic overload from intense rainfall, the Johnston County wastewater transmission system experienced a sewage overflow from a manhole at 1801 Industrial Drive in the Town of Selma on the morning of January 25th. An estimated 3,000 gallons of wastewater flowed into an unnamed tributary of Buffalo Creek.
