Aside from my computer problems... I'm concerned about losing power. We have a well and if the power goes off the water won't work. So..I'm going to put water in the tub to flush the toilet with. Do I put the water in the tank or the bowl? Will this even work? Or will I end up going to my Mom's house?...

Dip a bucketful of water out of the tub and pour it straight into the bowl. It will flush. Try it now, while you still have water, and then you'll have confidence that it really will work if you need to do that. Of course, you have one flush in the tank, so you won't have to use that method until the second flush without power.

Pour it in either compartment and it'll flush. Its just alot easier to put it in the bowl.

I have my bathtub filled too! I'm so glad we have a seperate shower and bathtub so I can just leave it filled until this mess is over with.

If its yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down!
