my vet recommend it and I said i wanted to look into it first..it's expensive..but I wanted to see if anyone here has used it and what they thought.
I have used Front line on all my dogs and it just doesn't seem to work that well on them..so they told me about this brand..but you can only get it by prescription.

    comfortis

LOVE Comfortis.....once a month and you can bath your animal or let it swim as much as you want without hindering the effect. Most important is to make sure your dog has a full stomach when it is given, as a few will vomit if given on an empty stomach. It is great for itchy dogs, too. It does not get ticks, recommend using a tick collar if you are in an area with a tick problem.

I found it online with out a prescription, it would be over a 100 bucks for all 3 of my little dogs..but I'm really thinking hard about it..really hard. Frontline just doesn't cut it for mine.
I just don't want to go through what I went through last year and we treated the yard the house everything..but we have to be careful cause I have birds and I can't do a lot of stuff in the house that would cause harm to them.

I never did ask the vet what it would cost for my Chihuahua when they told me about it, what was the cost when you guys got it? I guess I could call..

I tried it for a month with no luck. I'm glad all of you have had no issues with it.

Garlic is a low-cost home remedy that I have seen recommended. My Dad used to give his dog garlic pills, and I have just started giving my 100 lb. boxer a teaspoon or 2 of granulated garlic a day. Frontline and Advantix work somewhat, (almost no problem with ticks), but still have a flea problem. Gonna see how this works.

For the best prices on-line, try thriftyvet; even having to pay shipping, they were cheaper than anywhere else that I've found.

There's a "local vet" who sales it Non Prescription

Carolina Crossings Vet Clinic @ McGees Xrds .. they use to do it by prescription but no longer that way. They just sell it. And they swear by it. I personally never used it on my dogs; I'm still a Frontline user.

Thanks, I would think that they would still want to see the dogs, the stuff is sold by weight. I know what my Chi weighs cause he just went to the vet for his eye, but my pugs aren't due to go yet.
    I'm still looking into it.
