1977 Ford Grenada............ bought it from a little old lady. It still looked brand new in the 90's!
This will really tell my age! My first car was a 1951 Gray Dodge - with fluid drive. You could drive it straight or automatic! It was the same age I was!! Next came a 1955 red/white Plymouth Belevedere - gear stick on the dashboard. Then stepped up to a VW and finally got a "real" car - a 1965 Red Mustang! Won't bore you with the rest! Dsatman - I remember those cars of yours!
Not surprised at that Corolla. I still keep my '92 Mazda Protege as a winter beater to drive when the salt is down on the roads up here in the winter. 178,000 miles and still runs like new!
Datsun B-210 hatchback. 3 different colors of paint. The prior own was actaully a nun! While parked one day a bucket-loader rolled over the front end. My dad and me basically put a whole new front end on it using parts from the junk yard. It took me longer to clean out all the dead flowers and that green foam stuff they use for flower arrangements then it did to fix the front end. The nun used the car to transport 'leftover' and 'used' flowers to hospitals.
1978 Datsun 280z NIce paint job, wish I could say the same about the mechanical aspect!! Wast of money!
By the time I got around to buying one (1979), the Gremlin was no longer made! Mine was a little darker brown, my friends used to call it the "Little Field Dropping"
my sister had a Gremlin... can't remember what year, but looked like the photo, hers was bright yellow! It ran good til she wrecked it in a dui accident. Lucky my grandfather only pd $100 when he bought it for her.
