    “What’s That Yam Thing?” entries accepted 3-7 pm – tent, corner of South Second & Johnston streets

    Kiwanis Ham & Yam Supper 5-8 pm – Smithfield-Selma High School

    Saturday, May 1
    Methodist Men’s Breakfast 7-9 am – Centenary Church, corner of Second & Market streets.


    Street fair featuring arts & crafts vendors, kids area, and other exhibitors 9 am-6 pm – streets of Downtown Smithfield.


    Free musical entertainment on three stages 10 am-6 pm – streets of Downtown Smithfield & Neuse River Amphitheater.


    4-H Pig Cooking Contest barbecue on sale for consumption noon until...

    BlackHawk concert: free admission 8:30 pm – Neuse River Amphitheatre, Front Street

    Sunday, May 2
    Street fair featuring arts & crafts vendors, kids area, and other exhibitors
    12:30-5 pm – streets of Downtown Smithfield

    Free musical entertainment on two stages 12:30-5 pm – South Second Street & Neuse River Amphitheater (Beach on 2nd and Blue Grass at the Amphitheatre)


    4-H Barbecue RIBS plates on sale 12:30-5:00 pm – parking lot at South Second & Johnston streets

    Classic Car Show 12:30 to 5 p.m. – Johnston & South Third streets

    “Hog Ride In” Harley-Davidson motorcycle rally 1pm until... – South Third Street
