We are thinking of having a home security system installed. Pros or cons? Is it worth it, or just another monthly bill?
I have a system and I can say it worked when I needed it the most! Had someone break in my shed and the alarm went off. Had a call from the company within 2 min. Cops came within 10 min. That happened around 4 in the morning and scared us but I thought if they broke in the house we might not have heard it. So I can say its well worth the money. We use Vector and I am very pleased with them.
Send Harley Girl a PM, she is the home security expert in this area. We have one of her systems and are very happy with it. Thankfully have never needed it, but I sleep better at night knowing no one is going to sneak in my house without me hearing them and the police being notified.
