I didn't see a time. My daughter walked outside late yesterday and smelled something on fire. She came and told me and she walked all around our neighbors' houses and found one was cooking in an in ground pit so we thought that was where the smell was coming from.

Way, way too close to home. Sending you a PM.

We're gonna have to kick us some parents and kids butts, goats3. These kids need some strict parenting and maybe being "scared straight".

Do kids not have a curfew anymore??

I hope they find out WHO did this.

Have they ruled out the builder already? Everyone I hear seems to think it was kids.

Sure kids have curfews. They sneak out after that. Remember when you were a kid?

If there is one good thing in this (none of it is good) these fires are to vacant homes and not occupied homes.

We rode in there last night after supper because, well, I'm nosy. The worst one of the two is really close to a house that is occupied.

And I'm not certain but I believe the house you are talking about has children. The one that's occupied.

I just worry that the thrill of setting empty houses/buildings under construction on fire will wear off and they will move onto occupied houses... Or that a fire fighter is going to get hurt. I live too close for comfort to all these fires. My daughter is afraid to go to sleep because these fires have been so close to us.
