I know this sounds morbid... but I bought some pajamas for Thing I the other day. Pajamas are expensive! WHAT is the point of making them non-flammable when by the time the flames actually get to you, one has already succumbed to smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide poisoning?

So I'm standing in Chick-fil-a after getting my hair cut at lunch and order a #1 combo with extra pickles and a large Lemonade.......while I'm waiting for my food there is a sign on the counter that grabs my attention about their shakes, and they are looking good on the sign, so I drop the extra cash for a large chocolate shake, that some how doesn't survive the 5 minute ride back to work before it's gone.

    But man was it good.

COOL! I might check it out. Too bad something as simple as a diet couldn't cure what's wrong with you.

I'd say it's probably so as you're exiting a house fire, you stand a greater chance of not catching your clothes on fire. I've never understood why you'd want fire retardant polyester? Polyester melts so what's the point of making it fire retardant? I'd rather have cotton which is breathable, more comfortable and wouldn't melt to your flesh if it caught fire. Now, perhaps a fire retardant blanket would make more sense but I can't sleep under a whole lot of cover. A top sheet and a maybe a cotton thermal at the foot is all I need. Any more and I'm sweating.

Really, I can imagine a lot of scenarios with candles, fireplaces, the burner on the kitchen stove, some idiot's cigarette . . . kid playing with matches . . . lots of things other than the house being on fire.

I guess kids and smokers need fire-resistant PJs more than anyone else.
