Good to hear. Hope he doesn't get off so easy this time around, but then again, this didn't happen in Aruba.

If it turns out this guy did this then he's a serial killer. i wonder how many other unsolved murders around the world he could be linked to. he travels a lot.
if he did do this i actually feel for his parents. can you imagine how they will feel after defending and standing by him to learn he is a serial killer?

I wouldn't be surprised if they would be in denial and still defend him to the ends of the earth. During the Holloway case, it just seemed from what I understood of his dad, they would be like that.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- A Dutch man suspected in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba was charged Thursday in Alabama with trying to extort $250,000 in return for disclosing the location of her body.
A criminal complaint by the U.S. Attorney in federal court in Birmingham also accused Joran van der Sloot in May 2010 of promising to describe the circumstances of Holloway's death in return for the money. According to a sworn statement, van der Sloot got a partial payment of $15,000 wired to a Netherlands bank soon after.

this peruvian girl was killed 5 years to the day after natalie holliway was killed.
this story is going to be very interesting as it unfolds.

If he's found guilty of the murder(s) and this extortion plot, they should put in a life preserver ring and send him afloat down the Amazon.

for some reason i cant get this news story out of my mind. i think its because
i never imagined there would be a second death. the feeling i have about this story is sort of like how i felt when they found that missing girl living in that couples backyard. i didnt know of that case when she first went missing but you know after she had been missing for so many years that everyone just assumed she was dead. and then there was such a bizzare twist of events.

i just read that too. he says he did it because she invaded his private life.
he is such a liar who knows what the real story is but i guess if what he is saying is true then from the time line they went to his hotel around 5 am and did whatever. then he left around 8 am to go to the grocery store across the street bringing back two cups of coffee and bread. he comes back in the room and finds her on his laptop where she is discovering he is the suspected killer of holloway. he says he killed her in a rage. he left the hotel room for good about an hour later. who knows? again
if this is what really happened i didnt see that coming as being an outcome. if it is true than its coinsedence that it was 5 years to the day of the holloway murder.

oh, and did you read the way this girls family found out who he was?
i havent pieced together all the details but i read something like the father was concerned his daughter didnt come home. i think he knew she was in this poker tourney. he contacted the casino/hotel and the survellience tapes showed her with van der sloot. were they playing poker in the hotel he was staying in? i guess that must be true because the story goes that the hotel also informed the father she went to his hotel room. the hotel gave the father the guys name and social security number. the girls mother googled van der sloots name and freaks when the search reveals who he is.
I dont know if this is true for sure. im posting purely for conversation sake.
