Kids are home...summer vacation has officially started!!!

 

In growing up as a kid I kinda hated to see summer vacation roll around, that is until I got my driver's license.

 

You'd think it was Christmas here...

What the?? We don't even get up that early for school.

They are all ready to go to the "Beach Party". That is what they call the pool down the road with the waterslide and sprayground. Mom is still having coffee, and one has her goggles and one has her floaties both with their pajamas on.

Did I mention Thing II has Swim To Me Puppy's goggles along with her floaties? I don't think those are going to work....

dont hate me but my 8 yr old would sleep until noon if i let him. when i wake him though its ON! he is non stop until his head hits the pillow at night. so i wake him when IM ready!
i think the only day of the year he voluntarily gets up before 8 am is Christmas day!

I am jealous!!! We have to drag DS out of bed for school, but come weekend or holidays he up at first light. Funny how that works!!!! Luckily he's old enough to entertain himself for a little while. I am glad he was not one of those kids that got up ready to start the day at 5:00 AM. I would not have survived.

 

My son is the same way! He gets up earlier for fishing though than he even does for Xmas. :lol:

:cheers:Well, I had my own special hell, he woke up every hour on the hour from the time he went to bed til about 7:00 AM til he was almost 2. And folks wonder why I only have one kid...................................... I don't think I have ever fully recovered from the sleep deprivation. LOL.

 

Yours and mine must be cousins. Mine woke up two hours wanting to be fed. We only got DS2 because of the wind up swing and the TeleTubbies.

 

It's so pretty outside.
