I need recommendations for a place to rent a moving truck (20-24') for 3 days at the end of this month. I prefer Clayton, Garner or Smithfield. Thank you
Did you check out the Uhaul place with the scrolling Marquee.....*can't remember the name* But they're catty corner from Chops Right on Cleveland rd.
There are several local places that rent U-Haul trucks, and the pricing is all the same. There's one on Cleveland Road and at least 2 on 42 in the area. Mileage is what gets you at $0.89 a mile.
Congrats on the sale and the purchase, we close on our current home on 8/31, and 9/17 for the new one, need to figure out somewhere to live as well for 3 weeks.
Thanks for the help. Steeler- That is a pretty big gap. We have dual closings on the same day. Are you going far? We are only moving about 8 miles.
We are only moving about 8 miles as well give or take, the gap is because the people that purchased our current home want to close by the end of Aug, and our new house is not ready, we are building a custom home, won't be ready until the middle of Oct. Was supposed to be middle of Sept for new house, but it was pushed back
Penske might be cheaper, checkout their websites. I just moved my daughter to college, and the 2 day one way rental was $209, including taxes for a 16 foot truck. The Uhaul quote was over $300. And I got a 10% discount for reserving online. Another tip, if you don't need over 16 ft, your insurance will most likely cover the truck. But check with them first, discount insurances will not cover rental vehicles, ie, Geico. State Farm covers under 10,000 lb Vehicle Weight. Over that weight is considered Commercial.
