Darkness is PG-13, it looks pretty good. http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi48103705/

Dead Birds was good, but it's Rated R. http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi161546521/

How about Stephen King's Needful Things?

    Arachnophobia?

Lady in White was good, PG-13 http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi1905197337/

Oh oh! I just thought of one, I saw on The Sundance channel or something. Fido. It's rated R, but I thought it was more campy and actually had a story, I don't understand the R rating. http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi2095711001/

    People Under The Stairs

    Killer Clowns From Outer Space

What about the part where the guy peels his own face off in the bathroom mirror?

Poltergeist might be a bit much. I still have the heebie-jeebies from that movie.

What about Hitchcock films? the classics are sure to be language free and gore free, with the scary features....I still like me some Hitch every now and then!

How about an Adams Family or The Munsters marathon? Those are funny but kinda Halloween appropriate. I think there was an Adams family movie a few years ago...

I second the Adams Family movie for the age group mentioned! Mine love that movie, although it isn't really scary, but it is creepy-funny :hurray:

A lot of the older PG movies would be PG-13 if made today...Ghostbusters has a lot of profanity and some sexual scenes in it. If it's from the "pre-PG13" days, you might want to preview it.

Hocus Pocus is a great movie for Halloween and a younger audience that is not quite ready for Freddy!!!
