What: Annual Meeting for Board of Directors Elections When: January 10, 2011 Time: 7:00 pm Where: GCAA Complex, Ag building 8994 Cleveland School Road Clayton NC, 27520 Who: Any parent who has child that played a sport at GCAA in 2010 are the membership of GCAA. The membership are responsible for voting for the Board of Directors each year. The GCAA Board of Directors meets the third Monday of each month at 7 PM. Our next meeting is Monday, Dec. 20. If you’ve ever wondered how it works, or what is involved, this is your chance. This is your opportunity to help make a difference for the kids in our wonderful community. Come out, ask questions, give your thoughts…just get involved. The Greater Cleveland Athletic Association (GCAA) Board of Directors needs new members! We need self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals to help guide this great organization forward. On the January 10th meeting all members are invited to vote for the candidates for the Board of Directors. There will be 7 at-large membership positions to be filled. The executive positions (President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer) will be voted on by the newly elected Board Members at the first regular Board of Directors meeting on January 17th.
We will also be holding the final meeting of 2010 on December 20th at 7pm. Stop by if you'd like to familiarize yourself with the members and organizaton prior to the elections in January.

Elections will be held in the GCAA Office building (Ag Building) on the GCAA Campus. Please come out and vote. Are you interested in serving the youth of your community? GCAA is an all volunteer organization that is run by 21 elected Board of Directors and is always looking for more help. There will be 7 at large Board of Directors seats up for election this year. If you are interested in serving in one of these positions, please let us know about you by answering a few questions. 1. Why do you want to be on the GCAA Board of Directors? 2. Attendance at monthly Board of Directors meetings is imperative in order to properly conduct association business. Meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Monday of every month. Will you make attending monthly board meetings a priority in your schedule? 3. How do plan to participate at GCAA as a Board Member? Any needs that you think that GCAA has or any special projects that you will personally oversee? 4. What is your current job/career? Are there any ways that this may benefit GCAA? 5. Do you have any experience, skills, or special training in areas that could benefit GCAA? (For example: budgeting, website design/maintenance, newsletter writing, planning, construction, plumbing, electrical, etc.) 6. Do you have any interests or hobbies that you would like to tell us about? 7. Anything else you would like us to know about you?
